Power Walk

After a great party but a late night!! Both Lena and I decided that a full day of power walk would be the best for us.

The picture is taken from our hotelroom at SHA. We walked all the way to the old town of Altea, which is located up on the mountain that you can see far back.

Walking by the sea, with a breeze is nice when it's 36!

The last 500 metres before reaching the top of the old town. Please note the perfect jogging outfit! At least I had packed down the jogging shoes!

La Capella was the perfect place for late Sunday lunch. A lovely terrace with magnificent view.

The food was delicious; medium grilled beef with spinach. I was dying for a piece of meat ( which they don't serve at SHA) An other good reason for a power walk. Lena in picture.

If you have special preferences of achievements when planning your trip to SHA, please talk to our professional staff or me and we make sure your visit will meet your expectations. I have been here many times now and it's always my pleasure to guide you

Sweetened crispy cod, hot potato foam, vanilla oil with rovellon, became the hit of today's lunch.

Arriving in Style

My tour continues and this evening I arrived to Valencia, an hour and a half drive to SHA, my favorite spa resort in Spain, that is located close to the picturesque village of Altea. If you arrive to Alicante it's only one hour drive.

The pick up from the airport is in a white Mercedes with a safe and nice driver.

The scenery is beautiful, lovely small villages with vineyards

I'm sure I will drink plenty of my favorite Spanish water. It's 35 in the shade and 46 in the sun at the moment. AC is appreciated.

Full Moon and Fireworks!

I was invited by the Carlton Hotel for the Traditional Firework Festival in Cannes. The exclusive dinner was at the Beachclub of the hotel.

One stunning view from the pier, where the dinner was served, was the Carlton hotel and the other view was the sea, the full moon and the fireworks.

My friend Hillevi together with the handsome and entertaining Mark Vella, the Sales Manager of Carlton Hotel. Our Select Collection staff has a great relationship with him and his Team. Always ask us for best offer.

The breath taking fireworks were co-ordinated with great music.

I had a feeling I was Princess Leya in Star Wars.

The evening continued with great stories by Francois Chopinet, the General Manager of the Hotel Carlton, who is not just a lovely person but very generous. Thank you for a great party !

Love Story

The couple in the photo are: Grand Duke Vladimir of Russia and the granddaughter of Pouchkine and their children. They came to Cannes in 1896. The Grand Duke was in love and wanted to get married with her, but as she was not a member of The Russian Royal Family it was impossible.

He chose love and he decided to move to Cannes and therefore went into exile.

In 1917 it was shown that his decision and this great love to his woman actually saved his life!

He was also the founder and the financier of the beautiful and historical Carlton Hotel in Cannes.

Sweat is the name of the gym at W in Barcelona. It is big and modern and has a fantastic view to the sea and the city.

The entrance is very macho!

Only men?

Not really - Shakira and me!
She is entering the gym to the left in golden outfit, but not really for exercise but for a video.
