Stockholm as Best

The other night friends were joining to celebrate the Swedish summer night and showing a friend of mine what Stockholm has to offer.

This is how it looks at Josefina, a lovely summer restaurant facing the beautiful waters of Stockholm. Blue skies and very light at 9 pm. Stockholm as best.

Wonderful clients

I am amazed at the generousity of our wonderful spa clients. This weekend we received these fantastic cakes from our very best spa clients - a family of three who comes regularly for their massages.

Organic Friday

Today I gathered the Select Collection staff for some Friday Champagne - the organic Fleury, only produced in a quantity of a couple of thousand a year. This is the first Champagne that was certified as biodynamic. The method is very old fashioned, with a horse and carriage to collect the grapes and no chemicals at all used in the process.

To that I served the ecological chocolate I watched being produced in Grenada. See my old blog

I wanted the staff to taste and give their comments, as I am considering selling this particular 82% chocolate bar in our shops. And everyone liked it!

Passion for Playgrounds

Yesterday I met with the two founders of Project Playground - a non-profit organization working for children in Cape Town. Their aim is simple - kids should be kids! And the way for them to really be kids is to focus on play. This duo is devoted to create an opportunity for these kids to play and get a better future. We are now looking at a collaboration between Project Playground and Select Collection.

A Perfect Ending!

To stay at Sandy Lane in Barbados is a perfect ending to a six week familiarizon trip in the Caribbean.

I have visited seven islands, 21 hotels and 20 villas. It has all been very educating but also fun. I will now make a full report to all our staff in all Select Collection offices.

I can promise all our valued clients that we are now the experts in choosing the right hotel or villa for you when traveling to the Caribbean.
